Compass Group Australia, a leader in food and support services, will be the joint facility services provider for the new Melton Hospital.
Supporting the Melton and the wider western suburbs of Melbourne the fully electric hospital will provide at least 274 beds, a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care unit, outpatient care, maternity and neonatal, mental health, and radiology services, as well as a training hub for doctors and nurses.
As a member of the Exemplar Health consortium, Compass Group Australia will be responsible for the soft services including cleaning, waste management, grounds and gardens, materials distribution, carpark management, portering and PSA services over the 25-year operating period. Compass Group will provide long-term secure employment for more the 130 full-time staff, while achieving significant social benefit for the Melton community.
This project is being delivered as a public-private partnership with Western Health as the public operator of all clinical services and will be completed in 2029.
